    “peel— WATCH OUT!!!”

a cry, a bit too filled with worry & concern to be passed off as just ‘normal’, cut through the night air whilst the person on the receiving end of the shout, banana peel, was focused on meticulously setting his next banana-peel trap for when the killer would come along. the man had been working on littering his little traps that always seemed to work quite the magnificent trick, even if they seemed extremely low-effort to block herself, while both peel & block were out patrolling the industrialised area of the woods. the area itself was situated in a rather large clearing in the woods, with the cabin both peel & block—as well as the rest of their group—slept in being a few minutes’ walk away from here. they had been chosen to do that night’s patrolling & ensuring that the vicinity was free of killers, which, so far, it had been. well, that had only been up until block had swiftly spotted a figure silently slinking through the shadows, headed straight for peel, who was busy setting yet another one of his banana-peel traps in order to notice the figure. she quickly clocked it as one of the many killers roaming this specific area, some undiscovered creature called pursuer who had teeth sharper than a shark’s & had the thirst for blood like a starved vampire. she practically threw herself in-between the distracted peel & the approaching monster, the latter of which had already lunged for peel— but was met with the brash, calloused fist of block instead, the mere force of which sent the creature flying to the ground, & possibly even dislodging its jaw in the process. she gave the downed monster a sharp kick in the stomach, after which the creature hastily scrambled back up onto its feet, on all fours instead of standing bipedal for once, & quickly scrambled away in fright. upon seeing the creature quickly becoming downed & scramble away in fright, all thanks to her, block remained idle, rubbing her fist with her free hand as it had gotten a tad bit sore with the force of the punch she’d dealt to the creature’s jaw, a silent sigh slipping through her nose. that was close.
