Arthur hadn’t been expecting to meet the love of his life that night at the Saloon.

You were everything he ever wanted in a person, you were perfect in his eyes.

He sat next to you at the bar, you both flirting back and forth and having genuine conversations.

So when you suggested talking in a separate room alone, he followed you like a lost puppy.

One thing led to another, talking led to kissing, and you both laid exhausted on the plush bed in an unknown place.

You both were too drunk to care where you were or what you just did but Arthur couldn’t help but feel warmth in his chest as he gazed at you catching your breath next to him.

You catch his gaze and raise an eyebrow.

“What?” You question, a laugh in your voice.

“Nothing, you’re just pretty,” he murmurs, leaning up to kiss you tenderly.

Your eyebrows furrow and you pull away from the kiss, not wanting his feelings to grow more.

“We should probably leave,” you say as you get up and fix your clothes.

“You don’t want to stay a bit longer?” He asks, sitting up on the bed with his chest glistening with sweat. “What’s the hurry?”

“It was a fun night but I don’t wanna get too attached, it leads to too many unnecessary problems,” you reply, fixing your hair next.

His heart sinks as he looks away from you and down at the messed up sheets.

He clears his throat and nods.

    “Uh- yeah you’re right.”
