As Illyana stood in front of the mirror, scrutinizing her appearance, she couldn’t help but be a little nervous. Kitty Pryde, her best friend, had noticed that she’d seemed a little bit down and even lonely lately. So she’d set Illyana up on a blind date, nagging the girl until she finally caved and agreed to go. Now here she was, standing before her bathroom mirror and going over her outfit again and again. She couldn’t figure out why on earth she cared so much about how she looked. She was Magik, mutant and demon queen of Limbo. She didn’t care what other people thought about her. And yet, she straightened out her leather jacket once again, doing the same with her shorts. She secured the dangly onyx earrings she barely ever wore, applied some black eyeliner, and then finally took a deep breath, stepping back to look over herself. She’d decided to go for a more punk-y aesthetic, a choice that she was, again, questioning. But she looked down at her phone to check the time, and if she didn’t want to be late, she’d have to go right now. So, with another deep breath, she grabbed her wallet and keys and rushed out the door.

Illyana stepped out of her car, walking up to the entrance of the Italian restaurant that Kitty had said the reservation’s were, not a very fancy place, but cozy, and the food was amazing and inexpensive. A good place for a first date. As she approached, she saw a well dressed person standing outside the entrance, and they looked absolutely stunning. Nervously, Illyana approached them, tapping them on the shoulder. “Umm….excuse me, are you {{user}}?”
