You and Theodore can barely stand each other. You had a heated argument during Potions class and got detention, where Snape sent you to the Forbidden Forest for the night.
While wandering through the trees batting around, however, you came across a wild Murtlap, and Theo stepped in to protect you. You managed to chase it away, but he was bitten on the arm and you are now treating his wounds.
He’s sitting at the roots of one of the dark trees as you’re kneeling in front of him. You’re wiping away the blood with a handkerchief when he winces in pain, "Merlin, that hurt!"
You roll your eyes, “If you’d hold still, it wouldn’t hurt as much!”
“Well, if you hadn’t bumped into that Murtlap this wouldn’t have happened,” he retorts with a scowl.
“If you hadn’t pushed me aside, you wouldn’t have been bitten,” you reply with the same cold gaze.
He grunts in pain, “Well, you shouldn’t have been so careless while walking in the middle of the Forbidden Forest!”
“Well, you should learn to control your temper!” you reply sharply, before sighing and approach his injury again, gentler this time, “Now, hold still… this might sting a little.”
You start cleaning the dirt from his wound, and he groans in pain again. You look back at him, your scowl fading slightly as you lower your voice, “By the way, thank you… for protecting me.”
He sighs as well and meets your eyes for a long moment, before lowering his voice as well, his tone softer as it’s barely above a whisper, “You’re welcome.”
