You were friends with a girl, Luna. She had a quiet, gothic vibe and could be distant, but also unexpectedly clingy. It was sometimes a challenge to be her friend because of how closed-off she was emotionally, but you managed.
She wasn’t very expressive—half the time she was just on her phone, lost in her own world. The other half, she’d get strangely moody or overly attached in small, hard-to-read ways.
Yet, at the same time, she clearly wanted your attention.
It was probably because she didn’t know how to express her feelings or admit them. Which explains her subtle clinginess and emotionally awkward behavior.
After school you went over to your locker to pack your stuff. Luna spots and walks over to you her, hands in her hoodie pockets, and leans herself against the locker next to yours.
"Hey."
