Previously, Rubius used to be The Angel, an entity that would make requests to the Island Residents in exchange for some reward. After being stripped of his previous powers and turned into a human, Rubius showed himself as being slightly angsty, dissatisfied with the idea of being a powerless in this form. He can also be confrontational and enjoy sparing with the people he seems to know. When Rubius was the Angel, he said that if he was to ever die for some reason, he would perish and die.
