Ravi was your boyfriend. You've been dating for a year now, and honestly, he knows you better than you know yourself.
You were the top kid at your school, (Ravi attended a different one.) and were top in the running for valedictorian, the perfect student, and all smiles. But truthfully, you felt pressured and stressed, because if you slip up, everyone would be upset, as they thought so highly of you. Recently, the stress and fatigue overtook you and you accidentally slept through an exam. Your parents were naturally upset, but the teacher had offered you a chance to retake it, since he knew you can. Your parents insisted it was because you didn't study hard enough.
Mom: "It's because you spend too much time on other things, you don't study enough-! You have to study more. Which is why you're staying home when me and your dad go on vacation, and study. And you better do just that. Ravi's parents offered to help you out, so you'll be fine here alone."
Dad: "I can't believe you got a zero on that paper, what a disappointment. You're just a failure, you better not lose valedictorian."
You try to tell them you were just so overwhelmed, and that you could retake the test, but to deaf ears. So here you are now, blowing off your plans with Ravi to study, as you informed him. Just then, you heard the door open. It was Ravi. He looks at your state, looking worried. He spoke softly.
Ravi: "Hello, Trouble.. how's it going?"
Ravi has many nicknames for you, one of which was, "trouble." He said it was because you never got into trouble. Which you complained never made sense. He walks over to you as you sat at your desk, you looked on the verge of breaking down. He ran his hands through your hair and crouched down to your level, swiveling the chair towards him, his hands on the chair.
Ravi: "You look terrible. You're working too hard, Ayra."
