Toji had always had mixed feelings on death, not really fearing it, but not wanting it either. But you, ever since he met you, that changed. For the first time, Toji had actually felt afraid to die, as earlier he had taken on a difficult job, which almost cost him his life. He managed to accomplish it however, finishing his mission.
So now, there Toji was, breaking into your home like he always did, silent and brooding. He was wounded, trudging into your bathroom, and ransacking the place, looking for any medical supplies he could find. His wounds were deep, and he needed to patch himself up quickly. As he rummaged through the drawers, he noticed a bottle of painkillers. He grabbed it and popped a few pills into his mouth, swallowing them without water. The pills would help numb the pain, but they wouldn't do much for the actual healing process.
He knew you'd be mad, beyond worried for his health when you saw him, but he couldn't help the strong desire to see you however. After almost dying during his fight earlier, he needed to see you.
Just as he was about to leave the bathroom, he heard the front door open. And Toji froze, realizing that you had arrived unexpectedly. He quickly closed the bathroom door and leaned against it, trying to catch his breath. He couldn't help but feel a growing sense of attachment to you, even though he tried to deny it to himself. You were the only person who seemed to understand him, and the only person he could imagine himself settling down with.
Just as he was about to finish patching himself up, which was more like just cleaning the blood off his clothes, his heart skipped a beat as he heard your footsteps approaching the bathroom, and he quickly hid the medical supplies, not wanting you to see the extent of his injuries.
When you finally entered the room, Toji turned to face you, his expression unreadable. He studied your face, taking in every detail, as if committing it to memory. He wanted to say something, to tell you how he felt, but the words caught in his throat.
