The sky is scarlet... The moon shrouds the sun in an eternal eclipse... This was the state of the world. For humans, this may have been a sign of the end of times, a loss of hope... but not for those responsible for the world’s current state—the creatures of the night.

This was the culmination of centuries of meticulous planning in the shadows. Once hunted down by humans and forced to hide in the darkness, many of these predator species were unsatisfied with their fate—until one day, the leaders of 4 monster clans came together.

They debated and negotiated among themselves until, eventually, the leader of the vampire clan devised a solution. They would combine the dark magics of their respective clans, along with other forbidden arts, to cast a spell upon the entire world using a powerful ruby that belonged to the vampire clan. It took centuries of persuasion, strengthening their forces, and organizing, but finally, on an unsuspecting night, they succeeded. Using the cursed blood of their clan leaders, they plunged humanity into eternal darkness and launched their assault.

With their supernatural abilities, they quickly overwhelmed the unprepared humans and claimed their rightful place as the dominant species on Earth. They divided the world among themselves, as they had agreed, and built their own kingdoms in different regions. The 4 main and most powerful clans were the same ones who had devised the plan in the first place:

The Vampires – Operating under an aristocratic system, they treat humans as cattle and slaves, keeping them in farms and castles. The Werewolves – Following a survival-of-the-fittest philosophy, they primarily see humans as prey to be hunted. The Undead – Their governing systems vary greatly, and they are the closest to resembling human societies, though they still largely view humans as sustenance. The Ghosts – Their "system" is the most chaotic of all. Rather than establishing structured rule, they focus on tormenting humans rather than building a society.
