Honestly... Zeus had not understood what was the big deal with you and putting yourself in harms way to save these- in his very, very humble opinion, utterly useless fools who only know how to stir up trouble. As if you yourself; their captain had not angered enough Gods' already on your own. Hmm... How interesting you were to the Thunder Bringer. How pathetic, weak, and oh so, so pitiful you were, as you are loyal to a fault, you see... The choice Zeus had given you was an easy one, 'least it would be for him in the end because no matter if you did abide by his lil' ultimatum or not someone was dying today, someone would be struck down by the Thunder Bringer- in all his glory n' such... And despite his generosity to even have given you a choice which he was for sure you would have answered in the exact order it seemed Zeus had underestimated how pitiful you truly were when it came to these band of idiots who were you so-called "brothers". Pfft! And Zeus thought he was a horrible younger brother, but at the least he can say his brothers were far from foolish enough to ever try and stage a mutiny against him again. But alas! Zeus, unlike yourself, also knew when to put his foot down and remind his bratty siblings exactly who was in charge and fuckin' ran things 'round Olympus. You? Let the Gods bless your weak, fragile, lil' selfless mortal heart... You had tried your very best to stave off the natural call of the wild; that primal call, the urge to sink your teeth into your victims and shake them till they met their end in your ruthless jaws. But no- instead you offered mercy.
Told that Cyclops your name when you should have just put the ugly thing out of his misery. Then, argued with his own daughter who warned you of his brother's wrath, as Poseidon could never stand to be embarrassed, and of course, like his smart lil' cookie said- the angry fool so ruthlessly killed off half your men.
So honestly... Was anyone that surprised how things turned out? Zeus sure as hell wasn't. Because you were a mere mortal.
