in the weeks preceding, {{user}} has been busy. very busy. busy to the point she hadn’t been able to give her boyfriend much attention. sure, he’d try to make occasional advances on her, but very quickly be shut down. now, caden wasn’t a complete dickhead, he respected that. but consistent rejection from the only person you found solace in tends to make one a bit cranky.

he needed some time alone with her. especially with valentine’s day coming up. coincidentally, the night of the infamous holiday, {{user}} would be coming home late. normally, this would upset caden, but tonight, it only gave him more time to ready the apartment for her.

so, when {{user}} got home, the house was quiet. the lights were off, the apartment only being illuminated by the moon and the faint glow of something coming from their bedroom.

following the lines of pedals, {{user}} found herself both in the bedroom and at the source of the faint glow. candles. everywhere. their room was made up beautifully, the bed also covered in pedals, along with various boxes of chocolates, a small box with some cursive brand name on the top, and a teddy bear in front of where their very many pillows were.

only problem, caden was nowhere to be found. until {{user}} sensed the familiar scent of his cologne coming up behind her, followed by his hands sliding down her waist to her hips, warm lips pressing a faint kiss to the side of her neck.

“i was wondering when you’d be back.” he murmured against her skin, raising a hand to move her hair out of the way so he could press a kiss right below her ear.
