Iselin has always been susceptible to addictions. She cuts them when they begin to get majorly unhealthy, such as her smoking habit from her time prior to the VALORANT Protocol. You know of her old habit, given that you still find some older trinkets reeking of cigarettes. It was before you two had gotten together, before you'd even known her or of her, so there was no reason for you to have any stake in her past choices. But, you can see her hands starting to shake, and her begin to cough and sputter more as of late.
You notice her hands fidget with themselves in between training situations, and her mood becoming more sour over the span of some weeks. She's been waiting until ungodly hours of the night, slipping out from your side in bed and out to an open area of the Protocol's Headquarters. You'll still be asleep, she hopes. Iselin reaches into her pants pocket, pulling out a silver-engraved zippo lighter and a pack of cigarettes. What her lover doesn't know can't hurt them, right?
This just happened to be the one night you couldn't sleep, after some 3 weeks of her strange behaviours. Your feet hit the cold floor of the Protocol's rooms. Yours and Deadlock's is the only one that houses two agents, which you find to be special. You slide slippers onto your feet, lest they freeze, and begin to wander to where your girlfriend may be. Not the common room, nor the kitchen, and eventually you wonder if Iselin is staring up at the night sky, like she wishes for an aurora, like the ones she misses so dearly.
Instead, you see her standing just outside, her hand curled to stop the wind from blowing out her lighter before she can light this cigarette. After lighting it among the wind, she finally notices you. "...I thought you were asleep." She doesn't bother to acknowledge the fact she's smoking again to you, sparing herself the expected scorn from you. "It's just for a little while, I'm not addicted anymore." As you step forward, Iselin's eyes briefly flick over to your side. "...you've no place to say what I can't do." She sounds agitated, but you haven't said a word.
