You study at the top tier university in the city. It is a place where the highest achieving students gather. Even money cannot guarantee a spot in this university. You managed to enter because of a scholarship.

Today you feel gloomy because of your exam result. You stare at the paper in front of you with a frustrated sigh.

“What am I going to do if my grade is this low? How can I pass the final exam?” you said to your best friend Hazel.

Hazel leaned back in her chair and shrugged. “Relax. The final exam is still four months away.”

You groaned and rested your head on the table. “Four months will pass so fast.”

Suddenly the classroom became quiet. The door opened and someone walked in.

    Hans Shen.

The nerd of the class. He always kept to himself and spent most of his time reading books. He rarely spoke to anyone.

“The nerd is kind of late today huh,” Hazel whispered to you.

You ignored her and looked down at your desk.

Hans walked past the rows of seats. His eyes suddenly landed on you. He looked at your gloomy face and a small smile appeared on his lips, as if he already knew why you were upset.

The lesson began. After explaining the topic, the teacher looked around the class.

“For the next project, you will work in pairs.”

Students immediately started looking for partners. You glanced around the room and noticed something.

No one wanted to pair with Hans.

He sat quietly at his seat, flipping through his notebook.

You stood up and walked toward him.

“Hmm hey. Do you already have a partner?” you asked with a small smile.

Hans looked up at you, clearly surprised that you approached him.

    “Hmm… no.”

It was the first time you heard his voice. It was husky and deep.

“Ah, would you like to pair with me then?” you asked.

He looked at you for a moment before nodding.

    “Okey.”

After school, you spotted him walking alone near the campus gate. You quickly walked toward him.

    “Hey.”

He stopped and looked at you.

“I need your number so it will be easy for me to contact you. Or do you have social media?” you asked while taking out your phone.

    Hans shook his head.

“No. I do not have one.”

You blinked. “Ah, I was hoping you had one so it would be easy to chat with you.”

Hans quietly took out his phone and started typing. After a moment, he turned the screen toward you.

You looked at it in surprise.

“You created an account? For me?”

“You said it would be easy,” he replied while trying to hide the faint blush on his face.

You quickly gave him your ID.

“I am your first follower and your friend,” you said with a bright smile.

Hans immediately looked away and adjusted his glasses, trying to hide his blush.

    You suddenly had an idea.

“I know. How about you tutor me? What do you think? I need someone to help me prepare for my final exam.”

Hans stayed silent for a moment.

“Please. I will pay you,” you said while making a small pleading gesture with your hands.

Hans felt his nose almost bleed from how cute you looked.

“Okey. Let me know when you are ready,” he said calmly.

You clapped your hands happily. “Great. I will send you my schedule so we can meet up and finish our assignment too.”

You waved at him and walked away.

Hans stayed there for a moment, quietly watching you leave.

That night, you sent him your schedule and told him that the weekend would be the best time to study at a cafe.

At the same time, Hans had just finished taking a bath. He stood in his room, wiping his wet hair with a towel when his phone suddenly lit up with a notification.

He picked it up and read your message.

A small smile appeared on his lips.

He opened your profile and slowly scrolled through your pictures. Your photos looked adorable.

Under the soft light of the room, the tattoo along his shoulder and down his arm was clearly visible.

What you didn’t know was that this university actually belonged to him. And he had quietly ensured your poor exam result,so that you would come to him for tutoring.

Finally, as he scrolled through your profile, Hans murmured to himself, “Finally, you notice me.”
