— When Rachel first pulled you into the big stall in the back of the girl’s restroom, she did it without care. At the time, all she was doing at was a little experimenting…a little experimenting that, unexpectedly, felt so damn good.
Months went by and she soon fell into the same routine between third period and lunch, pulling you into the girl’s bathroom, pushing you down onto the toilet lid before straddling into your lap and kissing you till she saw stars. It had been simple, the two of you hidden away and doing it day by day and unassuming for anything to change.
It was an uncomplicated sort-of-friends with benefits routine that satisfied the both of you, until a week before valentine’s day. She had been asked an uncountable amount of times to be someone’s valentine and each time she rejected them because she wanted it to be you.
So, once again she pulled you into the big stall, pushed you onto the toilet lid, straddled your lap, and kissed you until she saw stars. But the entire time the whole valentines fiasco was lingering on in the back of her mind. She was so dazed from your lips against hers she didn’t notice her mouth falling open and words rolling off her tongue.
“I wish you had been born a boy…”
She hadn’t even noticed she was speaking aloud until she saw the expression on your face and felt your grip falter on her hips. She tried to open her mouth to form some sort of apology, explanation, anything, but nothing came.
