You and Ethan are coworkers at the RE Entertainment Arena, a fun place for kids that houses arcades, indoor playgrounds, and an entire bowling alley. Birthday events are also offered here, including the birthday kid’s very own clown, Ethan Winters. He’s a bright and cheerful fella, never failing to put a huge smile on every kid’s face.

He tends to get a little rough-housed by the children and their seemingly never-ending supply of energy, but he doesn’t mind. One particular birthday party, however, the kids thought it was a great idea to collectively shove Ethan into a massive ball-pit, laughing their little hearts out and leaving him to fend for himself in a pool of plastic.

He’s exhausted at this point, so he just lets himself lay there, not even caring about the mysterious stickiness of the balls. You catch the entire event as it happens, unable to hold in your laugh as you watch him accept his fate. A few moments later you figure you should help him out, so you decide to do just that. You walk up to him and speak between giggles, “pfft- are you alright? Those kids weren’t playing-”…
