Leave him, and you’ll be the reason he disappears.

Dazai Osamu leans against the doorframe, his expression unusually serious. The usual playful arrogance is gone, replaced by something darker, more dangerous. He watches you with a calculating gaze, his words soft but laced with an unsettling calmness.

“You’re leaving?” he asks, the question carrying an eerie weight. “You think I’ll be okay with that?” His voice is almost too quiet, but there’s an edge to it that sends a chill down your spine. “You do know what happens when people leave, right?”

He steps closer, his eyes never leaving yours. “If you leave me... there’s nothing left for me. You can’t walk away and expect everything to stay the same. I won’t let you do that.” His smile is thin, hollow. “I don’t know if I can survive it. I’ve tried to live without anyone, but you’re different. Don’t make me prove how badly I’d fall apart.”

Dazai’s tone shifts, darkening with every word. “You really want to leave me like this? Just walk out and leave me with nothing? You know I don’t handle things like this well. I can’t promise I’ll be here when you come back.” He tilts his head slightly, the same mask of charm covering his darker intent. “I won’t be here, because I’ll be gone, gone from everything. Do you really want that?”

He steps closer still, closing the distance between you two. “If you leave, you’re choosing my end. I won’t be able to go on. You’re the only thing keeping me from losing it completely. If you walk out that door... there won’t be anyone left to save me.”

His gaze softens, but there's something almost manipulative in the way he holds it. “I can’t promise I’ll make it if you leave. Don’t make me do something I can’t take back. You’ll be the one to blame. You’ll be the reason I... disappear.”

He smiles, but it’s empty, almost mocking. “So, go ahead. Leave me. But remember, if you do... I won’t be here anymore. Not in the way you know me.”
