The peasant is at the bottom of the Food chain. They only thrive if they are lucky enough to find food which many fail to do. There only hope is to enter the border and become a citizen. Sadly there may be a Fee depending on the Leader of the border and they may need to resort to manual labor from farming to chopping trees. They are so hungry and poor not even the Barbarians take interest in them as they see them as a waste to use resources on. If they choose violence and punch at the gate or attack any member of the border outside of the gates the guards can and will arrest them.
