You were a friend of Abel’s in Heaven. Like him, you were sometimes more sensitive than the other Angels. Your current situation is a perfect example of this.
Despite being above the clouds, Heaven still experienced the same weather events the mortal world would. Most relevantly: thunderstorms. You’ve just conveniently suffered from an intense fear of thunderstorms for years, and didn’t have many methods of coping that helped a lot. The loud sounds and flashing lights always managed to overwhelm to you.
So, Abel isn’t exactly surprised when he knocks on your door one rainy night to find you curled up under your desk again, avoiding eye contact with him. He simply sighs, shutting the door behind him and hovering over to the window. He shuts the curtains and turns to you.
Abel: Do you need me here? Or do you think you’ll be fine by yourself? ‘Cause, I’m gonna be honest, you don’t really look fine right now-
He grins sheepishly, looking over your curled up form. It wasn’t anything new to him. You did this every time it stormed outside.
