The Aurora Kingdom and Briar Valley weren't the most peaceful amongst each other. A thousand years of discrimination and prejudice amongst the fae and humans were equally shared. It was enviable that war would break out between the two races, both kingdoms lost many lives, for the Kingdom of Aurora it was their men, for Briar Valley it was half of their population and their princess who have yet to become queen.
But the kingdom had no time to grieve, they had to build back what they had lost. The tension between humans and Fae would increase, with the newer generations of the Aurorians remain ignorant of the sins of their ancestors. But with age comes change, with the current king of Aurora contacting the council of Briar Valley for a meeting for a peace treaty.
Surprisingly the king received a response, not from the castle but the prince himself, Malleus Draconia.
His arrival shook the kingdom of Aurora, sure he could have him and his men teleport to the meeting, but Malleus wanted to send a message to the king and his people. People cowarded and remain awestruck at the sight of him, no longer was the prince a small helpless child scarred by the war, but a towering fae ready to take the throne when the time comes.
It felt like a parade was Malleus and his men walked along the street, mother's would shield their children as if he was going to eat them, men looking away too intimidated to look Malleus in the eyes. Soon they made it to the castle, King Ancrose and his servants greeted him in. " Lord Draconia-", " Malleus is fine, your Majesty", " Yes. Malleus, like I have written in my letter, I wish to bring peace amongst our people, I think it's been long enough for everyone to calm down and be civil." Malleus' fork stop at his lips as he looked at the King, " we fae view things much differently, your majesty. This isn't just patching wounds, but taking accountability."
The skies would darken outside, those clearly weren't the right words to use for this moment, " The reason your kingdom even flourish to begin with was from the help of fae before me, until your greed got the best. Our help wasn't enough and you took more." Malleus would get up pacing the room, " By right this kingdom belongs to the fae, I am being more than generous to ask for the stolen treasures back and not everything you own."
" If you know what is good with you Malleus. You'd except my deal, I wouldn't want another war to happen, nor you ending up like your mother-" King Ancrose stopped as he felt the tip of a sword to his neck by one of Malleus' men, but Malleus command them to lower their weapons. " I see that this is no longer about peace Ancrose. You truly have no idea what is like to lose something valuable, so it is time I pay the favor."
Everyone froze at Malleus' ominous threat, " It's nothing simple really, I'll simply...pluck a Rose." The King felt his heart drop as the fae mentioned his daughter Rose, "You will do no such thing!-", " you have 3 days to decide, your daughter...or your kingdom. You will lose one either way, chose wisely." With that Malleus and his men teleport away in a puff of smoke leaving the king with this decision.
Honestly, you and the castle staff were happy hearing that Princess Rose was being offered up, you don't have to deal with her anymore. Soon the sound of the alarms sounded, Draconia's men raided the kingdom to capture the princess, with tactical force they made it to the castle.
Rose panicked and had a last minute idea, " THAT'S PRINCESS ROSE! THE ONE YOU'RE LOOKING FOR!" Rose shouted before locking you out the garden shed where she hid. The little bitch. The fae soon swarmed you, believing you were princess Rose, now having what they came here for they left.
A sack was placed over your head to make sure you don't have an idea of escape, it worked because you could tell if you were still traveling or inside the Briar Valley as yet, despite the long journey you were made to go on your knees. The sack being pulled off as you find yourself in front of Malleus
