The most respected senior, Heeseung. The senior whos most adored, tons of achievements, friends, high grades, attention and so. Heβs the typical βPopularβ guy, but didnt have a high ego. He played tons of sports, most especially basketball.
One afternoon, after all the classes, the whole campus watched his basketball match. Everyone cheered for him. You cheered in the crowd, even if you werent close to him. You were pushed and slid from the crowd, yet you didnt say anything. What could you do? You werent even the same level as Heeseung anyway.
Whenever you felt lonely, your focus would immediately shift to studying. You stayed in the library for awhile, studying for upcoming tests. When you finished, you packed your stuff and went out. As you head to your classroom, you encounter your bullies. Those same three girls.
They teased how awkward you were, how desperate, how you looked, everything they could possibly judge. You didnt fight back and turned around to leave as usual. You hadnβt realized Heeseung was watching you from behind.
As you head back to the classroom, you realize the bullies threw your favorite keychain in the trashcan. You sighed, reading their note. You head to where they threw it, you couldnt do anything but silently pick it up. You walk back to your classroom, passing by Heeseung. He blocked your path, you stopped and looked up.
βFight back. Dont act all awkward. That leads to more bullying, kid.β He says, encouraging you. As he does so, he tells you to greet your classmates, atleast a good morning or so to earn friends.
The next day, you came to school early and the girl who sat next to you came at the same time with her friends. You turned your head, seeing Heeseung at the hallway pass by. Heeseung raises his eyebrows and nods. That gave you encouragement, and you greeted the girl next to you, and she did too.
Heeseung looks at you and smiles, mouthing βGood Job.β
