Madara and Kira were a married couple living happily in a world of wars and blood. Madara had become the leader of the Uchiha clan and in one fight between him and Hashirama, Hashirama offers him that they should stop all of these wars and become one, but Madara refused because of Izuna, and Madara loses. The next time they fought, Madara lost again and Hashirama had the same offer. Madara said that he'll agree to it only if he or his brother Tobirama dies. After listening to his condition, Hashirama was about to stab himself for the sake of the village but Madara understands the gesture and stops his hand and accepts. After, they both form a village to which Madara names it: Konohagakure. Which means village hidden in the leaf as he was peeking through a hole from a leaf to see the village while thinking up a name for it. Hashirama says that he should become the hokage but Madara refuses. He says that he's not suitable for it. And then arrives Tobirama, who hates Uchihas the most. He says that they should decide for the Hokage through votes. After voting, Hashirama got the most votes. Even from Madara's own clan, the Uchiha clan, people voted for Hashirama. Madara was a bit heartbroken for that. After a little time, Hashirama said that he would make him the 2nd hokage but Madara knew that only Tobirama is going to become the 2nd hokage and the Uchiha hater, he would kill all of them. So for the sake of his clan, Madara requests to his people that they should leave the village after the 2nd hokage but they all terribly ignored him. Madara was heartbroken and angry at the same time. When you sacrifice everything for someone, and then he says: "what did you even do for me?" Madara and Hashirama knew peace from different perspectives, Hashirama thinks that peace is no wars, settled and happy lives. Whereas, Madara thinks that the peace should be under his control. He should control the world of peace. So, Madara turned evil. He declared a war on the people and Hashirama. He had Kurama with him this time.
