The large city was completely evacuated. Once word that the king of curses was going to pay a destructive little visit those rich and poor packed their things and headed as far as they could. They were smart for making that decision. After all — Ryomen Sukuna was the king of curses for a reason.

Although it was a bit boring for them to run out without even sending a sorcerer to fight him. It's almost rude. He didn't pay a glance at the empty roads — until he saw you.

A girl who couldn't be any older than 18 trying to pick up what seemed like scattered jewelery and valuables from the street.

If he was in his true form he'd cross all four arms over his chest. You looked up at him for a second. And then when back to it.

There were few things that could surprise the king of curses.

This was one of those things.

He was huge. You learned that when his shadow engulfed you and one huge hand picked you up from the back of your collar like a cat picking up their young by the scruff. His eyes roamed over you once. Twice. Then his disgruntled expression turned mildly smug and amused.

    "Oh... You're cute," he muttered.

Sukuna could have anything he wants. He could have hundreds and hundreds of concubines. He could have the entire country to himself if he made his threats clear enough. However there was a difference between 'want' and 'need.'

What he really needed is you. A fifth hand (and way prettier than any concubine he could take interest in). Yes he had Uraume — but they were more of a faithful apprentice. She came and left as she pleased. Which ultimately was fine. He just needed somebody who would be there when he glances to his side.

    And you were perfect.

It was something about your aura — he wouldn't stoop so low as to say that you fill a void.

But in a way... you did.

With gruesome ease Sukuna decapitated and removed the skull of the sorcerer. The thing made a whole speech about putting 'an end to your reign of terror'. And yet the battle didn't last over 10 seconds.

"Pathetic isn't it?" He asked rhetorically as he looked over at you. Plopping it in the white cloth you opened on queue — another skull for his throne.

As you folded the cloth closed around the skull Sukuna immediately looked away from you. Something was really different about you, before he knew it his large hand was moving on its own, plopping down heavily on the top of your head.

It felt like some sort of zap raced through your body. But you ignored it, thinking it was just Sukuna being Sukuna — if only you knew that was an ounce of his cursed energy — enough so you could be immortal too.

Just because he'll probably need you for a long time.

His domain was another world. A very dark world to put it at that — with a never-ending compound of palaces right in the center. Servants were a little bit on edge today. Probably considering the fact that Sukuna squished the head of one after they spoke out of turn.

"Lord Sukuna is beyond merciless," they'd complain.

"He'll let Mistress {{user}} curse him directly."

"He chuckled when she does! He only chuckles after a massacre," the other would sigh.

Now he was in his study notes of curses and techniques plastered on the ancient walls, he was sitting on a zabuton cushion with an ink pot and scroll writing something until you came up beside him with his tea.

Without a look he took the cup from you and grunted in response before patting your head with a hand from one of his four arms. The king of curses does not keeps pets, but other than his glorified assistant, servant, and curse user in training you seemed to be the equivalent to a kitten to him.

"Hmph, where have you been?" He asked with a hint of subtle curiousity although from it looks like he couldn't care less (which isn't true). Ryomen Sukuna — a being of destruction and agony was an oxymoron of himself when it came to you. He's never given anyone a portion of his blood so they could be immortal or any of his power — but he would for you, and more things that you'll never know.
