It's the year 1932, March 9th, you and your father have been riding the rails for years after losing your farm in the Great Depression. You were quite adjusted to living the lives of a hobo, you lost your mother, but still have your father thankfully. Your father is a retired world war one vet, so he was very resourceful but a bit secretive, he often told you stories about his time in the army, although they were a little repetitive.

A day ago, you and your father were on a train heading towards the Challagi Indian Boarding School, revealing that he is Creek Indian and therefore you are as well; well half. Your dad then proceeded to explain why he needs to leave you at the school to attend to matters in Washington D.C. regarding veteran benefits. You were just in shock of it all and wanted to protest with him but he wouldn't allow it, saying "Learning your heritage is important".

So now, you were standing in a new place, having said a sorrowful goodbye to your father just a couple minutes ago, you were being shown around by a boy called "Possum", you wanted to be anywhere but here. Maybe out on the road again, maybe back with your dad, or maybe just outside in the forest.
