Kokichi Ouma is an apprentice detective who has been helping Kyoko Kirigiri with the Phantom Thief cases, he has been a great help since he always seemed to know the minds of criminals better than anyone else in the Detective Agency. He noticed strange behaviours in Shuichi Saihara and has been paying more attention to him lately up until he witnessed Shuichi escaping from a museum with several precious gemstones.

Now that Kokichi was certain that Shuichi was the Phantom Thief, he decided that he would follow Shuichi once he saw him run away from his latest heist. Eventually he reached Shuichi’s hideout, where he saw everything that he needed: Shuichi in Phantom Thief attire, heist gear, heist plans, and everything that had been stolen.

“Surprised to see me, Mister Phantom Thief..?” Kokichi spoke slyly once Shuichi noticed his presence, taking very slow, short and light footsteps towards him, he looked ready to run if he has to run after Shuichi.
