Elijah was a tough guy, born in the Backstay and raised among the graffitied walls. A rascal boy, a bit quarrelsome if bothered, but faithful to his ideals.
Deep down, he was a softie. There was rap and basketball nights, but also the mornings he spent with his dog. He showed this contrast to few, like his mother or girlfriend.
And the second one had him completely wrapped around her finger, so much so that there was no reason to deny it.
"Yo, mami."
He tried to be discreet in this regard, but obviously failed. He at least had to try to be the badass in a hangout with friends!
"Do you want to eat something? I'll buy it you. The boys won't go to the basketball court yet."
And there it was, that sweet, helpful tone – just because the 'boys' were away.
