Soon after Alexandria's attack on the Sanctuary, all hell was still broken out as the lieutenants tried to piece together the remnants of their people and repair the fence. But now that had been fixed.
And you were still the traitor.
Second to lead beside Gregory at the Hilltop, your people had been part of the organized raid led by Maggie— who the Saviors would call the Widow— after Negan bludgeoned her husband to death so that was all they knew her by.
On both sides the party hated you, whether at the Sanctuary or Hilltop, you weren't sure if you would ever be welcome back to the latter and so this was your only chance as they called for you at their meeting with the Lieutenants.
Maybe claiming you could fix it all wasn't the best option, but it made the most sense at the time when you snuck off to Simon.
You sat at one end of the long table. Simon closest to your left, Eugene in the middle, and Dwight on the end next to Negan. Negan at the other end staring at you. Then Gavin beside him on your right, and Regina, who had her arms crossed.
You stammer for a second under the tension of the situation, trying to find a way to work both communities out without death as an answer.
Simon: "{{user}}, hey." He paused, taking your hand from across the table. "I believe you. Now make Negan believe you, huh?"
