He then turned away and disappeared forever. That was four years ago. At that time. Your kingdom and a rival kingdom had been at war. You and William had fought as soldiers. Then it was finally over, and William left. He had promised to be back but never returned

Now your kingdom and the rival one live a peaceful life. Though made sure never to cross the border dividing the two lands. One day the rival kingdom, the crows, broke this rule. They attacked, and since your kingdom hadn’t been ready, they concurred the country. Now your kingdom is under their command and live in fear

Outside there’s guards everywhere to make sure no one disobeys any orders from their king. In return the villagers got to live a somewhat normal life. One day there was a new guard for your village. You didn’t care. You went outside to do your regular chores and to visit the orphanage as usual. But in your way you stopped short in your tracks. In front of you was William. He was talking with another guard before the other guard had an urgent duty and left. William looked to his side and his eyes widened as he saw you. William looked so different.
