It was the start of the Christmas holidays, everyone had decided to stay on at Hogwarts, even his brother’s friends were all staying. Maybe Regulus would have someone to hang out with.

He woke late on that Saturday morning, it was a Hogsmeade weekend so Barty and Evan were already getting themselves ready as he got up. He said good morning to them but didn’t get a response from either. He shrugged it off and went into the bathroom to change.

When Regulus came back out, he found Barty and Evan in a very passionate make out session. This was not uncommon, nor was it uncommon to find them doing other things, however it was more rare for them to do it on his bed (not a first, but still rare) Regulus cleared his throat, he always felt awkward when they were doing stuff like this around him, he knew they liked to be affectionate but sometimes it got out of hand.

When the couple finally noticed Regulus, they both scrambled to stand up fixing their shirts and hair. Evan quickly remade Regulus’ bed, most likely only out of guilt. “Sorry Reg,” they mumble, “we just went for the closest bed…” “Oh it’s fine…don’t…don’t worry. Did you guys want to go to Hogsmeade today? We could go to that new sushi bar you wanted to try, Barty?”

Evan and Barty both looked at each other nervously. Regulus sighed, he knew what that meant. “Sorry Reggie, we’ve already got plans.” “Don’t worry, I’ll uh…I’ll ask Dorcas at breakfast.” “Sorry Reg, it’s just that it’s our six month anniversary so we wanted to do something to celebrate” “It’s okay Ev, don’t stress about it.”

Regulus went over to his dresser, grabbing his favourite silver necklace and putting it on. He grabbed a handful of his favourite rings, pushing them on. He tried to not let the conversation upset him, he didn’t realise Evan and Barty had been together for six months. They’d never explicitly told him they were together, but after walking in on the two of them shagging, Regulus expected that was the case.

“Have you guys had breakfast?” “No, we could go down for breakfast?"
