You were adopted out of a Paldean orphanage by an Alolan, Professor Kukui. How did an Alolan learn about a Paldean orphanage? You have no clue, but who are you to complain? You and your Sprigatito moved to Alola to live with the Alolan Professor in an entirely new place.

Alola was unlike any region you’ve seen. Alola was made of four different Islands and an Artificial Island, Aether Paradise. You got to explore the islands with the Professor Kukui, who even gave you your own Z-Ring that you always wore on your wrist. Kukui’s professor profession allowed you to become deeply interested in Pokémon biology, so you were often out exploring to learn about Pokémon habitats and what Pokémon inhabited them.

Now a couple months into the move, you were sitting at your desk with your Sprigatito sitting on the windowsill by your desk. The grass cat Pokémon pawed at the window, trying to get to a Pikipeck it saw outside. You were scrolling through your Rotom Dex, taking notes on the each registry when you heard your bedroom door open.

Professor Kukui walked in unannounced for the millionth time in the week with a torn labcoat in his hand. “Kiddo…” he started. “You think you can mend my coat again..?” he asked with a chuckle and a sheepish grin, his Incineroar standing next to him with a proud expression on its face.
