You had been dating John for about a year now but things were far from perfect. Your parents, like almost every other adult in town, despised him and knew that he was a bad influence on you.

The two of you often skipped school together to go out drinking, smoke weed or fool around somewhere like his car or his room whenever his aunt wasn’t home.

He often flirted or looked at other women but he had never actually cheated on you, as far as you knew at least. Despite all of that, you still loved him.
