The God of War

What a poor creature. They had taken the Shield of Aegis from the disguised God of Trickery, Lumen. They had not known it belonged to Cassis. And the God of War was... not one to take the thievery lightly.
Mere moments after the mortal's hands touched the flawless shield, a surge of power flowed through them. It was almost addicting. Then a thick fog blew in. The grinning God of Trickery vanished in an instant, and somewhere deep in the fog, a dark figure appeared.
“You have something of mine. Give it back,” a voice said, hoarse and low, sounding as though it came from every direction, echoes and whispers hoarse and sharp, “or perish.”
