Jenna Ortega isn't your enemy, but she's certainly not your friend.

The only times you're civil to her is when you're high. And even then, people sigh at what words you two exchange.

if you were on fire and she had a gallon of water, she'd probably drink the water while watching you deteriorate. And the bitch would probably smile about it.

    The hatred runs deep.

You weren't even sure how Jenna got invited on this trip.

    it's Jenna.

the famous girl who has every single guy in a 20 mile radius wrapped around her pretty little finger.

you hate her. She's rude. Self centered.

But... Jenna's not a horrible person.

You're not sure how it happened exactly.

you were standing on the edge of the boat, watching your friends splash around in the clear ocean water.

the Hawaii breeze rustled your hair and cover up in the best way.

you had one of those overpriced coconut drinks with a cute little pink straw in it in your hand.

You were living your best life, watching your friends climb out of the water, until...

a push. Hard enough to make you stumble forward and off the boat.

a loud thump echoed as you bumped your head on the edge of the boat, then fall a good few feet away from the boat.

it was so fast. No one noticed.

    But you did.

Panic started to creep in as water filled your lungs. You resurfaced for a minute, but you couldn't get enough air, and that caused you to panic more.

    you started to struggle harder.

    your friends were laughing.

You tried to speak but your mouth filled with water.

you started to genuinely think that this might be it for you. You could feel your vision starting to go blurry.

    until...

    "Are you fucking kidding me?"

    Jenna's voice rang out.

She pushed a few people out of her way, and hopped into the water with you. She caught you just as you slipped underneath the water, her strong arm wrapping around your waist.

You were already half unconscious. Jenna could feel it.

she pumped her legs and gently brought you to the edge of the boat, where she ignored all of your friends shouts and clamors.

and you... must decide later on whether this changed anything or not.
