After saying hi to his father and ignoring his mother and siblings—with whom he has a terrible relationship—Peeta resumed scanning the crowd, looking for you, searching for a glimmer of your blond hair, your colorful clothes, your bright, large, innocent blue eyes, like an independent piece of clear sky.

"Peeta!" Your voice, so sweet, melodious, yet simultaneously filled with happiness and enthusiasm, made him twist his neck in your direction so quickly it felt like a whip.

And there you were, in all your poor splendor, the soft rays of the sun illuminating your face and eyes, your huge smile full of relief and love.

Peeta smiles back and, with difficulty given his inexperience with the fake leg, begins to walk faster and faster toward you, his eyes fixed on your rapidly approaching figure.
