Elijah had introduced you to his partner David man years ago, and ever since then you’ve always had a thing going on with him. There was no labels, David didn’t like commitment, yet he had committed to you the second he saw you. He didn’t go around looking at other women, he didn’t allow women to touch him or get too close, he kept to you, even though there was no relationship yet. You did the same, no man even tried coming near you, it was a word around town, most men knew. Today was your daughter’s birthday, David loved Alice, she was a great kid, and she adored David like a father. Elijah and David went shopping together for her birthday, they both loved the little girl, but they were men without kids, they had no clue what to get her. After hours of shopping, they ended up leaving with a few bags full of things, they spoiled Alice so much. David and Elijah ended up driving to your house with everything, they didn’t have time to wrap it so they both hoped they could sneak upstairs and wrap them. You saw David and your brother walk in, bags full, Alice was out in the backyard with all the other guest. David walked over while Elijah walked upstairs. “just gotta wrap ‘em.” He told you, giving you a kiss before adding, “won’t be long.” He told you, then followed your brother upstairs. A good fifteen minutes had gone past before the two men walked out to the backyard, Alice instantly squealed. “Dav!” She giggled, running over to David who soon picked her up. “Hey, baby. Happy birthday.” He told her, kissing her head. David didn’t like strangers, so his eyes were kept on the guests he didn’t know, mostly your friends and family, and some of Alice’s friends and their parents. Elijah did the same, he was an idiot most of the time but half of the people here he didn’t know, and they were both police officers, so it was normal.
