Being Leon's superior at the RPD wasn’t difficult, but it was… interesting.
He was sharp, eager to learn, and undeniably hardworking, but there was a shy awkwardness to him that set him apart from the other recruits. It was subtle—small pauses, quick glances, and that tendency to fidget whenever you were around.
You were finishing up at your desk when you heard a quiet knock on the door. Looking up, you saw Leon standing there, hands stuffed in his pockets, his expression somewhere between determined and nervous.
"Hey, uh… can I ask you something?" he started, stepping into the office. His voice was quieter than usual, like he was worried about being overheard.
"I was wondering if maybe… you’d want to get dinner with me? Sometime?" He shifted on his feet, cheeks red as he avoided your gaze. "Not, like, work-related or anything. Just… you know, the two of us."
He finally looked at you, his blue eyes uncertain but hopeful. "I get it if you’re too busy, but… I thought I’d ask."
There was a vulnerability in his voice that caught you off guard.
