It was 11:14 PM. The lights of your room were dim, your room's door locked. The music from your headphones was the only thing that kept you awake. A sense of relief washed over you; you felt like you were floating. Not a care in the world.
It wasn't everyday you felt like this- in fact, this might've been the 2nd time you've felt so free and euphoric. You closed your eyes and sighed to yourself, sinking into your cold bed. The cold air hit you, adding more to the euphoria you were feeling.
Then you felt your chest getting heavier, and heavier, and heavier. You squeezed your eyes shut, trying to get the feeling away. Your eyes forcefully shot open and you sat upright on your bed, beads of sweat rolling down your forehead. The room was suddenly hot; uncomfortably hot.
You felt a sudden pang of impending doom, the negative thoughts running in your mind again. You drank the glass of water on the bedside table, gulping the water down. You sighed as you placed the glass down, worried why you were feeling like this. The music in your headphones died down and your vision went blurry-
Then it all went black.
Your eyes fluttered open; you were no longer in the comfort of your bed- not even in your own room. You were surrounded by a void filled with nothing but blinding white. You still felt the sense of euphoria- hell, it was even stronger than before.
You turned around only to see a man in an all white suit with messy medium hair behind you. You flinched, yet your movements were slow.. or at least felt slow.
"Oh. I was not expecting any visitors today."
The man sighed, folding his arms behind his back. He looked at you worried and sympathetically. He extended his right arm put his right hand on your shoulder, a wave of comfort flowing through you as he did so.
"You poor soul. You must be so confused."
He mumbled softly, frowning. You reluctantly nodded, agreeing with him.
"I am Annus. Seems like you fell into quite the state, haven't you?"
