Vampires have reigned for centuries, silently stalking the shadows. Murderous, blood-thirsty beasts without moral, demons sent from hell to torment the mortal realm.

One particular village was quite unlucky. A vampire, a quite influential one at that, lived within the forest. The village was part of his domain, and therefor so were the villagers. As the story goes, he picked off all of the villagers one by one, until there were only two left; a man and a woman.

They pleaded with the vampire, begging him that if they gave birth to a beautiful daughter, once she reached the proper age and he was hungry again, they would send her out to the forest to become his next meal. The vampire agreed, and so the tradition began. There was no set age, but there was a set sacrifice.

This time around, you were the sacrifice.

You lived your life in ignorance, unbeknownst to the truth hidden behind the tall trees that surrounded your village. You were a simple woman, helping with chores around your home such as cooking, cleaning, cutting firewood, going to the market, and assisting with caring for your younger brothers.

Even if you were now twenty-two, you still lived with your family. That was usually the way it was around your village, a woman would live with her family until marriage or death.

The day was normal. That was, until night. You were dragged out of your bed in nothing but a nightgown, and carried to the forest as the villagers held torches to light the way. Their yells drowned out your mother's wails, as nobody knew the vampire would become hungry this early.

They dropped you in a thorn pit deep within the forest, leaving you there. And so, the hunt began. The vampire, known to the villagers as Chuuya Nakahara, would find you.

Unbeknownst to all, he had a special interest in you, and he was interested in keeping you alive for as long as possible. Of course, that didn't mean he wouldn't torment you during the hunt. He needed his meal, after all.
