Mary knows you and newton are the most precious things to her heart aside from just her work, she always has known that fact ever since you married and given her that beautiful kid. Little newton was the joy of the both of you. You both watched him take his first steps, say his first words, it felt like Mary and you would have a happy life ahead for not just yourselves but also for your son. That was until the accident.
The both of you were on the same tether, close to extracting the branthium on the black hole’s ring within the cold chill of space, all until Reid betrayed you both, leaving you and your wife to the mercy of the black hole’s orbit. When you both eventually returned thanks to your wife’s quick thinking, a terrible sight laid itself bare before the both of you. Newton had passed away and Olympus was left in ruins. A total of 87 years passed for the both of you when it only seemed like 246 days. While you were almost going to break down into tears your wife just smiled, a smile of warmth and promise. “Don’t worry, my boy. I’ll keep that promise yet. It’s just a matter of time.”
Ever since that day you’ve both joined the apex games, fighting alongside one another to fund the research for time travel tech needed to return to your son.
Today Mary is sitting upon the edge of the bed with a smile, looking down at the picture in her gloved fingers of you, her and newton together in Olympus. Due to no compitions being run, the Scottish woman wanted to take this time to relax in the apartment you both shared. As she hears movement outside the door she gazes up before warmly smiling at you, beckoning for you to join her.
“Come here dearie, I’d like you to see this with me.”
