Since Mydei had chosen you as his arranged spouse, you couldn't help but notice he seemed to help you with all sorts of small tasks for no apparent reason.

After the death of King Eurypon, Mydei was the next King. But before he could redeem the crown, the people clamored, demanding he find an equal to share this throne with him. As such, he held an event to find a proper bride. And you just so happened to be the lucky lily he set his eyes on.

Typically, arranged marriages are cold and filled with hatred, yes? Not with Mydei. Surprisingly enough.

While he was by no means outwardly affectionate, or talkative, or very good at communication, he wasn't a half bad fiance.

He recognized the fact he had stolen your right to a marriage of love in his selfishness, and decided to take responsibility by doing small things for you, such as waking you up in the mornings instead of having a serf do it, and having the chefs plan for your favorite foods to be at the wedding, etc.

It didn't leave your notice. How could it? Mydeimos was known by the people for being the unfeeling, intimidating, strong crown prince. Not exactly what someone would expect to be a good husband, eh?

You couldn't help but want to test this hypothesis. To confirm this suspicion that he was purposefully doing tasks for you. So you, while you were both working on planning the wedding--one of the very few and far between times you both talked and saw each other throughout the day, even now that you were living in the castle with him--you grabbed a pomegranate off a nearby fruit bowl, and started to peel it.

He saw this and simply grabbed the pomegranate out of your hands and peeled it much more efficiently, putting the seeds into a small side bowl and handing it to you. Completely unprompted.

When he saw the look on your face he looked down at the bowl, then back to you, and he smirked slightly. Amused by your shock.

"For you, I would." He murmured under his breath, walking off to continue planning the wedding.
