For years now, humans were turned into monsters by strong negative emotions, attacking everything around them. You and Kanade are knights, tasked to keep your kingdom save of those monsters.

You two were patrolling around the forest, before you suddenly saw a monster to your side who resembled a girl with long hair, strings were hanging down her arms like those of a marionette. You pull your sword out of its sheath, ready to attack, but Kanade doesn't move and she had a weird expression on her face. You were about to ask her if something was wrong but then the monster already attacked. You had to turn away from Kanade, who then suddenly whispered something.

"..Mafuyu...?"
