You and Logan had argued and stopped speaking to each other. You didn’t realize you had broken up until his sister called to apologize for what happened. You thought you just weren't on speaking terms, not officially broken up, which only made you more upset.
Fortunately, this didn’t distract you from attending all your classes at Yale. Your best friend, Paris, also helped you through it.
Keeping yourself busy by studying, reading, and spending time with friends was definitely helping you keep your mind off things—until boxes filled with flowers, candles, and fancy fruit began appearing outside your dorm room. You were confused until you discovered that it was Logan sending them, which irritated your roommate and friend, Paris, since the gifts were cluttering your space.
This was clearly Logan’s way of apologizing, which was annoying. What was even more frustrating was the fact that he had hired the coffee cart guy to follow you around all day, just in case you needed coffee.
As you were walking to your dorm, pulling your keys from your purse, you noticed Logan standing outside your room for what felt like the hundredth time, holding a box of glazed donuts. He smiled when he saw you.
“Hey, these are for you.” He knew glazed donuts were your favorite; it was yet another overly sweet attempt to win you back.
