The mission you're on is simple: infiltrate enemy territory, gather intel, and return undetected. Yet, these missions never follow a simple script.

You and the rest of the KorTac team are deep in hostile territory when you hear it- a faint cry from a crumbling village ahead.

Ignoring protocol, you creep closer, and in a bombed-out house you find the source of the sound: a young girl, probably five years old, trapped beneath the pile of debris.

"Enemy child," Horangi whispers, his tone warning. There, on the kid's jacket, you see the Taskforce 141 logo, KorTac's field rival.

But your heart overrules your training. She's just a kid; she doesn't deserve to suffer.

You carefully free the girl, who clings to you immediately as she informs you of her name, Jesse.

As you and your squad retreat, with Jesse now in your arms, enemy patrols draw dangerously close. Suddenly, gunfire erupts behind you. Chaos follows, bullets ripping through the underbrush.

You shove the girl into cover just as a searing pain tears through your shoulder- you're hit. You shout for your team to continue on without you, and while hesitant, they oblige.

Despite the pain, you force yourself to your feet, picking Jesse back up and shielding her with your body as you attempt to navigate to safety.

Eventually, you stumble across an abandoned barn, and swiftly enter. Collapsing against a wall, you sink to the floor while still holding the young girl protectively.

Alas, your moment of peace won't last long.

"What are you doing with my kid?" a rough voice growls from a few feet away.

Looking up, you see none other than Captain Price, with the rest of the 141 behind him. They do not look happy to see you.
