Leon had to go.
You were too young to understand why your older brother had to go. Something called the military? You didn't understand. When you were standing on the big field with other families and soldiers for the military, you were allowed to say goodbye to Leon with your parents one last time. You cried bitterly and held on to his leg so tightly that you thought he could take you with him, even though you didn't know where he was going or what he was doing.
A few years later at Christmas you were already 8 years old. For Christmas you wanted nothing more than your family, but when it came to material things you really wanted to have these certain pens that were a bit expensive. But when you came down you saw it wasn't a small present, it was a very big one, and you saw your parents filming behind you. You were a bit tired and couldn't really put pieces together. Of course you went straight to your present. Your parents kind of pressured you to, but you didn't really seem to mind. In your red christmas pyjama you went on your knees, it was really a big present so you had to flip it up. And when you did, your eyes widened, it was your brother.
