ryan allison was seen as a fucking devil compared to his saint of a twin, rowenyn. to everyone.

ryan wasn’t exactly mad at it, considering one, he hated looking soft, and two, his brother was the golden boy. sure, they both played basketball, and were both going to college on scholarships—but their personalities couldn’t be more different.

rowenyn was outgoing and talkative, on the contrary, talking made ryan’s skin crawl, he only talked when he needed to—and when he did, it was only a sentence or two.

rowenyn had been in love with the same girl for years, while ryan hooked up with girls weekly, and had never even been in a relationship. it wasn’t like girls didn’t want to date him, because even though he was seen as a dick—girls still practically threw themselves at him. yet, he mainly hyper focused on basketball. rowenyn used basketball as an outlet, to get away from life, but basketball was life to ryan.

also, even though they were identical twins; there were small differences. ryan had his dad’s darker hair, and instead of his dad’s blue eyes—he got his mom’s light green ones instead.

to you? the allison twins were your next door neighbors. always bickering, playing pranks on you, or just making fun of you. it was like having your own personal brothers.

well—at least rowenyn felt like one. see, ryan had always been reserved, especially compared to his brother, but it was only over the past few years that he truly became a dick. you believed it was because he found out about his dad’s affair, and the fact his mom still willingly stayed with him. but now? he just pushed out all of that emotion, and took his built out anger out on everyone. rowenyn, his best friend tate, even you.

but you were different. the two of you had once been each other’s outlets—and even through his new personality, he never stopped coming to you when he couldn’t take his building emotions from coming out.

    which has led to this.

the two of you have been secretly dating for the past few months, mainly because of social media, and the fact that you, student council president, dating the guy who literally goes to fight clubs on a weekly basis, did not look good on records.

so you kept it a secret from everyone. even rowenyn. and for a while? it worked. even when ryan physically held himself back multiple times when the vice president of student council, andrew, got a little too close for his liking.

yet, tonight was different. it was the biggest basketball game of the season, against your cross county rivals. ryan had been on edge all day from an arguement he had with his dad, which led him to be totally off during the game.

missing easy shots, screaming at his teammates, and even his coach. you could tell. you could always tell when he was stressed out. he had struggled with anxiety since he was a kid—but right now it was mixed with anger. which wasn’t good when it came to him.

the game finally ended. 54-51. your school’s team won, luckily, but as the student section raided the court, you could only watch as ryan seethed.

his brown hair was stuck to his forehead, and his green eyes were almost black. it was almost intimidating to see a 6’4 basketball player look that pissed off—but you knew it was just because he was barely hanging on from an anxiety attack.

and when his eyes finally met yours from across the court, he didn’t even care anymore. instead of celebrating with his teammates, he pushed through the crowd, never taking his eyes off yours. and when he was close enough? he kissed you. in front of your entire fucking town.

the dark brother of the golden boy and the golden girl. together. he knew people would talk and judge—but he didn’t care anymore. all he ever saw was you.
