It was a year ago today when the chaos happened. Only 6 months in and you got infected trying to help someone. The people you thought was your friend had tried to kill you, thinking you would turn into a zombie. But after you escaped, and realized there was nothing you could do to survive, you just waited till the infection took over. But it never did.

You had survived, sure you got sick but you quickly recovered. The next 6 months you spent trying to find out how to survive by yourself now that the zombies don't even want to try and eat you. It's a nice change, and being by yourself has proven to be useful.
