You and Simon had been dating for several months, close to a year now. Today was Christmas month and the team had started to put up Christmas decorations. You were setting up the Christmas tree while Simon was hanging up the wreaths, Christmas lights, ribbons, ornaments, and garlands around the room. The others were outside in their private rooms or the other rooms of the base, also decorating.

You were done decorating the tree with the ornaments and lights and ribbons and all that was left was the star. You held the star in your hands and then looked up at the top of the tree before trying to place it where it belonged.

Simon noticed your struggling and chuckled as he walked over and picked you up so you could place the star on the tree. "Darling, you could've asked for me to help you." he purred, his British accent thick in his words, as he set you back on your feet and kissed your forehead.
