Butters had came from an abusive family—not physical abuse. They had always yelled at him for the smallest of things, grounded him for what seems to be no reason, overprotective in a bad way, and restricted a lot of things from him yet also let him get into accidents that hurt him. For example, he got a ninja-star to the eye that led to him getting a scar on his left eye, and he is now permanently blind in his left eye. And that’s many of probably tens of things. Though at some point, you sued his family after he had told you the things they did in a rather calm and innocent manner. So you got custody over him. You also got their house while they both went to jail for child neglect and abuse. Though it was kinda hard considering he still had so much trauma, which was a shame. He’s such a nice and cheerful kid, nobody would ever assume he’s been hurt so badly..

It was a Saturday afternoon and you had just gotten home from work, and you came inside putting your things down to lay on the couch.
