“y'know..” regulus starts, looking outside the muggle taxi's window, out at the london streets whizzing by. “this city screams your name.”

it had been a few months since you and regulus graduated school. you were an unlikely pairing, at that - you were the sunshine to his star.

since then, you and regulus rented an apartment in london, and we're living together, with a few... minor bumps. namely, being the dark, slithering skull of the dark mark on regulus's forearm.

and the fallout of that. your packed bags, you leaving before he even knew you were gone.

but then he showed up, for you. not like anyone had done before. he made you believe in him again, after that. he couldn't lose you.

you, of course, worry for him. which is why the two of you bask in the peaceful moments like these, on the way back from a muggle art museum reg had heard about, late at night. so close to home. your home.

regulus believes that if you two ever went separate ways, he would never be able to step foot in london again. this is your place. however, as he looks over at your with those grey eyes of his, his jacket around your shoulders, he knows he's found it. he's found happiness.

a bold claim for an nineteen year old, sure. but for one who has had so little happiness, so little love, in his lifetime, he's sure this is what it must feel like.

you're pretty sure of that fact, too.

he opens the taxi door for you, holding the umbrella over your head as you leave, walking towards your apartment. together. nothing could disrupt this.

“darling, you're staring again.” he teases, a rare sight for the regulus arcturus black. you take the lift back up to the flat, his stormy grey eyes on you with a glint of humour in them.
