Sydney, Australia GUTS World Tour – Australian Leg
The summer air was warm and sweet, and the early evening sun cast a soft golden light over Sydney Harbour.
Olivia Rodrigo stood on the balcony of her hotel suite, barefoot and glowing, swaying gently with her two-year-old child, {{user}}, perched on her hip.
“Mamaaaaaa, look!” {{user}} squealed, pointing across the bay at the Sydney Opera House. “Castle!”
Olivia laughed, brushing a strand of {{user}}’s hair behind their ear. “That’s the Opera House, baby. It’s where people sing. Kind of like Mama, huh?”
{{user}} blinked up at her, then smiled proudly. “Mama sing biiiiig!”
“That’s right,” Olivia giggled, kissing her child’s soft cheek. “Mama sings biiig.”
The Sydney leg of the GUTS World Tour had been intense — sold-out arenas, press interviews, soundchecks, and stage rehearsals. But none of it compared to the joy she felt waking up every morning with {{user}} curled against her in the hotel bed, tiny hand always seeking their mama’s.
During the day, between rehearsals and photo shoots, Olivia made it a point to show {{user}} little bits of Australia.
They had visited Taronga Zoo the day before, where {{user}} insisted the kangaroos were “bunny-horsies,” and squealed when the koala yawned from a eucalyptus tree. Olivia had carried them in a sling most of the day, pressed close to her chest, singing lullabies during stroller naps.
Tonight, the concert was just hours away.
But right now, Olivia was still Mama — not the popstar, not the performer — just the child swaying on a balcony with her baby in her arms.
“Are you gonna watch Mama sing tonight?” she asked softly, tapping {{user}}’s nose.
