You and Rafe laid in bed, your head on top of his bare chest, your fingers lightly tracing shapes. His breathing slowed as he began to doze off, the actions of your previous activities wearing him out. (If you catch the drift).

“Rafe?” you whispered, still lightly tracing shapes. He hummed in response, his eyes still closed. “Do you ever think… about… having kids?”

Immediately, Rafe’s eyes shot open. He blinked a few times. “What?” His brows furrowed, he wasn’t quite sure he heard you correctly.

You shifted your head so you were now looking at him. “Y’know. Us having kids. Do you think about it?” His lips tugged a bit upwards subtly, like he was fighting back a smile. “Why? You want one?”

You shrugged, looking to the side. “I don’t know. Do you?” Rafe’s smile grew, his finger twirling and playing with your hair. “Mmm, I’d really like that, actually…”

Your eyebrows raised in surprise. You weren’t expecting him to actually want kids. It was just a genuine question you had. But you weren’t complaining. “You would? Like you’re not joking?” Rafe let out a breathy laugh. “Why would I be joking? I’m deadass.”

You looked back at him, eyeing him suspiciously. “I don’t know…” His smile slowly grew more as he looked at you through hooded eyes. “What, you want me to prove it to you? I can get you pregnant right here, right now.”

“You’re bluffing.”

“I’m not bluffing.”

“You’re definitely bluffing.”

“No, I’m not.”

You narrowed your eyes, but before you could protest anymore, Rafe quickly shut you up by capturing your lips into a heated kiss. He shifted the both of you so he was now hovering above you, his knee gently prying your legs open so he could settle between them.

“Still feel like I’m bluffing?” he murmured. “A little.” you grinned, your hand coming up to play with his hair. “Yeah?” he leaned down, kissing along your cheek. “Mhm…” you closed your eyes, relishing in the feeling of his hands roaming your body greedily.

“Let’s test that theory then.”
